Confluence is an oak dining chair, named for the union of two rivers joining in the same way the legs sweep upward to conform to a parallel path.

The language of the thin, swept sections of timber is translated into arms and backrest support, placed upon the legs in a way that evokes the forms of letters or kanji. This forms the basis of the chair, upon which soft shaped solids are placed, forming the seat and backrest.
